Car spies ambush an unsuspecting BMW M2 CS

The second generation of the BMW M2, dubbed the G87, was introduced in 2022, but the first deliveries have only been made recently. Still, the Bavarian brand is already busy testing a high-performance version of the M2 that will most likely be called CS.

Judging by the latest spy shots, the prototype car has a ducktail spoiler on its trunk lid that the stock M2 (see video) lacks. Furthermore, while there are certain M Performance parts available for the M2 straight from the factory, there is no such spoiler on the list. It looks a bit like that of the hardcore M4 CSL.

Rumor has it BMW will only offer the M2 CS with an automatic gearbox and an upgraded version of its S58 six-pot turbocharged to 520 PS (513 hp / 382 kW).
