Zeekr 009 gains a four-seat deluxe version

The Zeekr 009 minivan is considered to be a premium vehicle, but it currently only ships with six seats in the cabin. CarNewsChina has now discovered a patent according to which the company may be preparing a four-seat version for launch in China, where MPVs with two seats at the front row and two more in the back are about as popular as luxury saloons.
The publication refers to a patent describing the design of a partition separating the front seat row from the rest of the interior. The partition is depicted with a stationary lower half and a power-assisted upper half, enabling passengers to raise and lower it at any time.
Per CarNewsChina, such partitions are most often used in four-seat luxury minivans, which some Chinese executives prefer using over large limos. The alleged Zeekr 009 four-seater may debut with individually adjustable seats supporting massage, ventilation and other features, as well as plenty of multimedia equipment and other creature comforts.
The standard Zeeker 009 MPV went on sale in China last fall. It remains to be seen when, or whether, the four-seat version will become available.
