Italy-based electric car brand Aehra has just concluded an agreement with Miba Battery Systems (Austria) according to which the latter will supply the former with large-capacity EV traction batteries.

The batteries come in a range of sizes, maxing out at 120 kWh. With a peak charging power of 350 kW, they should be viable in most vehicles. Aehra’s first production model is going to be an unnamed SUV shown in the gallery and video below. When that one goes on sale, the company will switch to working on a sedan. Both are envisioned with 800+ km (500+ miles) of driving range.

The mass production is expected to start in a few years’ time.
