Toyota C-HR interior details leak online via spy shots

Toyota is busy testing the new generation of its C-HR crossover on the Nürburgring. We have already seen it there thanks to car spies, but this is the first time the cabin is revealed.

Judging by the only shot available thus far, the layout stays largely the same, but the interior looks more up-to-date and tech-friendly on the whole. The two displays on the dash are still separate despite many automakers switching to a single big screen, and the dashboard visor seems to be gone for good.

The transmission tunnel appears revised as well, as does the gear lever. There is a rather bulky sports-car-style partition between the tunnel and the center console that separates the driver’s seat from the passenger’s. It is perhaps also worth remembering that Toyota promised to make the new C-HR more spacious and practical than the current generation.

The new exterior shots of the pre-production car go on to confirm our expectations that it is nearly identical to the C-HR Prologue Concept (see video). Only minor production-friendly modifications were made, including simplified headlights and c-pillars.

The new C-HR is expected to go on sale before the end of the current year as a Europe-only model.
