Audi R8 goes out of production for good

Milan-based startup firm Aehra showed us a super-SUV it was working on this winter (see video) and is now following up with images of a sedan to rival the Porsche Taycan. Co-designed with ex-Lamborghini Chief Designer Filippo Perini, it will properly debut on June 16, 2023.
The images do not provide a coherent perspective on the exterior of the car, but the outlines sure look smooth and aerodynamic. There are also a flag of Italy on the c-pillar, a two-tier pylon for the backup camera, and a headlight fragment.
The still-unnamed vehicle will debut in the concept car status. The mass production is penciled in for 2026. According to Perini, it will not look much different from the final version.
It would make sense for Aehra’s second production car to get the same platform and drivetrain as its first one. If it proves to be the case, the Taycan rival will utilize three electric motors rated at 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) and cover around 800 km (500 miles) on a charge.
