KG Mobility updates SsangYong's former Tivoli

The Korean automaker KG Mobility, which rose on the ruins of insolvent SsangYong, continues refreshing its predecessor’s product lineup. This time around updates came to the Tivoli crossover SUV and its stretched version, Air. Both received an exterior facelift, a cabin makeover and revised engine options.

Novelty on the outside boils down to new bumpers. The one at the front has a large air intake and a different radiator grille now, and the SsangYong logo is gone for good.

Inside, the HVAC control panel is a touchscreen, and the infotainment system benefits from new hardware and software alongside a 9.2-inch display. A new trim option with vivid orange accents has been added.

For the engines, the buyers can choose between a 1.5-liter turbo rated at 163 PS (161 hp / 120 kW) and a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated mill capable of 126 PS (124 hp / 93 kW). Both utilize a six-speed automatic transmission, while AWD is optional and only available in the turbo spec.

Pre-order books in South Korea are already open. The new KG Tivoli starts from 18.83 million KRW (~U.S. $14,200), while the Tivoli Air will set you back 22.94 million KRW (~$17,200).
