Rumor: New Hyundai Palisade to arrive as a hybrid in 2025

The original Hyundai Palisade debuted in 2018 and received a facelift in 2022. ETNews is now reporting that the second generation is in development. Unofficial sources claim the production will begin in January 2025, two months behind the schedule.

We are told that the new Palisade will switch to a new car platform with a longer wheelbase and support for a hybrid powertrain based on a 2.5-liter petrol engine.

ETNews also claims that Hyundai plans to ditch the 3.8-liter naturally aspirated V6 in favor of an eco-friendlier 3.5-liter twin-turbo mill. Last but not least, rumor has it the car will ship with a Level 3 self-driving suite installed as standard. There has been no official comment so far regarding any of these claims.
