Volkswagen prepares the ID.Buzz for a life of adventure

After unveiling the stretched version of its ID.Buzz electric minivan (see video), Volkswagen has revealed a concept car based on it. Dubbed simply ‘Accessories’, the spin-off is apparently meant to showcase the various goods the company has in stock for active leisure and travel enthusiasts.

The battery van can be equipped with an expedition rack of sorts for carrying sport gear or an awning for lunches out in the open. A modular kitchenette can be integrated into the trunk area complete with a stovetop, a water tank, a sink and storage spaces. A queen’s bed is also available.

The ID.Buzz LWB has 250 mm (10 inches) of added wheelbase length and comes with three seat rows instead of two. It also benefits from a more thrust-happy electric motor and is set to receive a twin-motor/AWD variant later on.
