Nio unveils its next EV, the Onvo L60

The Nio Onvo L60 is a coupe-like crossover from the Chinese automaker’s Onvo lineup designed with Europe in mind. It will first be released in China in September, and in the meantime, here are the main details.

The car is sized 4,828 x 1,930 x 1,616 mm (188.6 x 75.4 x 63.2 inches) with 2,950 mm (115.3 inches) of wheelbase. Once it reaches the showrooms, it will be available with three battery sizes – 60, 90 and 150 kilowatt-hours. Their respective driving ranges are manufacturer-estimated at 555, 730 and 1,000 kilometers (345, 453 and 621 miles). Interestingly, Nio officially plans to rent out the largest 150-kWh battery pack and not sell it outright.

The Onvo L60 benefits from a state-of-the-art 900-volt power architecture and consumes 12.1 kWh per 100 km on average. It benefits from an advanced infotainment system running on an Nvidia Orin X chipset with a 17.2-inch touchscreen display, but has no traditional instrument cluster. The car replaces it with a 13-inch heads-up display. Two 8-inch displays are available as options for the rear seat occupants. As for the front seats, they can be completely folded down to create a couple of beds.

Nio plans to launch the Onvo L60 in Europe at the end of the year.
