A person named B. Verstappen is asking just under €10,000 for a well-used Nissan 200SX Coupe adorned with some of the weirdest styling decisions we have come across so far.
Verstappen – who is apparently unrelated to the current Formula One champion – does not reveal much about the car, but says it had a rear bumper of a fifth-gen Chevrolet Corvette ‘glued to it’. The photos corroborate that testimony with wildly mismatched proportions, haphazard overall execution and no visible attempt to reduce the seams.
Aggravating matters are sculpted sides that sport something looking precariously like air vents, except the pockets are sealed. In its current form, the kit looks like it would spoil the aerodynamic performance of the car more than it would ever be able to fix. Further offenders include flared wheel arches with outdated five-spoke wheels stuck inside.
Things stay untouched under the hood, and the mileage teeters on the verge of 132,000 miles (214,000 km), making this 200SX a very poor investment target. Used automotive classics may be all the rage nowadays, but asking ten grand euros for a battered, particularly tastelessly tuned example is… well, suffice it to say we expect it to remain with the owner for a while longer.
