Nissan has spread press release papers where it compares its own concepts with production cars, and took the Ariya Concept as the main example.
The electric crossover vehicle had originally been designed based on the Leaf Hatchback chassis, but later modifications set it strongly apart from the Leaf. Among other things, the SUV wound up with independent (per-wheel) rear suspension, dual electric motors and AWD. It will also house its traction battery at the bottom, rather than inside the center tunnel and behind the rear seats.
The only technical bit of information available so far is the driving range, which amounts to 300 miles (482 kilometers).
Nissan will host an online reveal event to show us the production Ariya on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
