Nissan has plans to turn its Autech car series into a separate brand

The Japanese car manufacturer Nissan has announced plans to form a sub-brand from their existing Autech car series. The Nissan Serena minivan shall become its first representative.

According to the company, the sub-brand will primarily target the domestic market buyers who want comfortable and powerful cars.
Furthermore, Nissan plans to position Autech alongside another sub-brand, Nismo. While the latter targets sports car enthusiasts, the former will prioritize customers who want to see high-quality materials and superb attention to detail.

Finally, Nissan plans to produce an Autech version of every one of their cars currently on the market. Creation of Autech and Nismo sub-brands will enable the company to embrace a wide target audience in Japan.
