Near-perfect Nissan 300ZX cashes in record $135k

Bring-a-Trailer has just sold a 28-year-old Nissan 300ZX for 135,000 USD, pointing out that the winning bid was an all-time high for that model.

The car has around 35,400 km (22,000 miles) under its belt, but its valve gear, pumps and cooling pipes were all replaced during a complete maintenance not long ago. The owner applied a ceramic coating on the entire body and 16-inch wheels two years ago, even though they looked pristine without any protection.

The rest of the car is bright red with the interior wrapped in black leather. You can detach the glass panels from the roof, essentially turning it into a convertible. The tech on board includes 4WS and ABS, and the Pirelli tires installed are virtually new.

Powering the Japanese coupe is a 3.0-liter V6 TT rated at 304 PS (300 hp / 224 kW). A five-speed manual transmission drives the rear axle. Installed trim options include power windows and seats, anti-fog lights, climate control, cruise control, and a Bose audio system plugged into a cassette player.
