Nissan consider the the possibility of launching of series production of budget sports cars based on IDX Conceptthis this year.
The company doesn't share details about technical characteristics of the car yet. IDX Concept was taken as the base due to its attractive design, advanced technical "stuffing" and great interest to the concept car. Its debut took place at an exhibition in Tokyo in 2013. The car was provided with an atmospheric engine of 1.6 liters and a 6-speed transmission. During its debut concept car received enthusiastic reviews from public. At the same time the company's management mentioned for the first time about the possibility of creating inexpensive series sports car on the basis of the concept.
