Nissan lifts wraps off Hyper Adventure Concept

Nissan will be attending the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo later this month with an SUV concept called Hyper Adventure, targeting adventure and active leisure enthusiasts. The premiere will take place on October 26.

The car shares its principal design traits with the last year’s Hyper Urban Concept, but looks more aggressive thanks to numerous sharp edges and intersecting surfaces. The automaker says the bodywork has been designed with aerodynamic performance in mind as well as approach/departure angles. For one thing, an EV like this can be confidently driven over rough snow-covered terrain, something freeride fans will be interested in.

The interior is futuristic and houses a steering yoke, a digital dashboard mounted close to the windshield, and a heads-up display.

A spacious cargo area is provided for any equipment and gear you may need out in the wild. The rear seats swivel around by 180 degrees, letting the passengers change clothes discreetly or – when parked – lift the tailgate and enjoy the scenery without getting out of the car. Automatic steps are provided for convenience, and the EV can supply power to electric appliances while camping.
