Nissan has announced the forthcoming presentation of a new performance car – Nissan 400Z – at the Los-Angeles International Auto Show next year. The vehicle is meant to replace the 370Z performance model currently on the market, which has been seeing frustratingly low sales over the past few years.
The new Nissan 400Z will utilize the same platform as the Infiniti Q60. The Japanese manufacturer considers giving it a potent V6 engine with at least 400 hp under its disposal – which is realistic, given that such an engine already exists in the lineup. An even stronger version with 475 hp under the hood is also in the works and should be released at a later date.
Based on the performance estimations provided, we can say that the new Nissan 400Z will mainly have to deal with the competition from the latest-generation Toyota Supra and BMW Z4.
