Michael Bunce, Vice President for Product Planning at Nissan North America, said that the company intends to unveil generational updates of the Sentra and Maxima sedan models in 2019. He promised that the cars will astonish even experienced automotive professionals, not just brand fans.
The new Nissan Maxima will capitalize on the technology of the latest Altima sedan which debuted at this year’s New York International Motor Show. Maxima is going to be bulkier but at the same time more agile than Altima due to its optimized aerodynamic body kit. Buyers of the novelty will be able to choose between a 2.5-liter V4 engine with 190 hp (142 kW) and a 2.0-liter engine with 250 hp (186 kW).
