A limited Fan Edition of the popular Nissan Kicks mini-CUV has recently gone on sale in Mexico. Just as its name implies, the new car should appeal to football fans.
One of the official photos shows the new Nissan crossover vehicle standing next to a football ball at a stadium. It is painted bright blue with white roof – the colors of Mexico’s most popular football club, Chivas de Guadalajara. The home uniform of Guadalajara players consists of bright blue stockings and shorts as well as white T-shirts with red stripes.
The interior of the Nissan Kicks Fan Edition features toned windows and sports stylish floor mats and deflectors with blue highlights. There is a parking radar, a leather-draped multi-function steering wheel, and an infotainment system with a sensor display and smartphone control support. It has ЕВD and АВS installed for additional safety.
Apparently, the manufacturer believes football fans will be fine with a front-driven car that invariably ships with a single 118-horsepower (88 kW) strong gasoline engine coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox. Go figure.
The new Nissan Kicks Fan Edition can be obtained at U.S. $17,000, as opposed to the $15,000 for the stock model. Only 400 cars will ever roll off the band.
Apart from Mexico, Nissan Kicks also sells in China, Brazil, Canada and the USA. The manufacturer hopes to eventually expand its sales geography to 80 countries.
