Nissan Ariya Nismo debuts in Europe

Nissan introduced its powerful Ariya Nismo e-SUV in Japan in January this year, launching domestic sales in the spring. The company has now unveiled its version for Europe, which is slated to arrive in early 2025.

All prices are pending, but we have all the motor specifications and the launch times. In Europe, the Ariya Nismo will utilize a pair of electric motors delivering a combined 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW) and 600 Nm (441 lb-ft) of torque. For perspective, the current flagship called Performance has 394 PS (389 hp / 290 kW) at its disposal.

The added power and sports-focused suspension tweaks let the Nismo version sprint faster than the Ariya Performance, but only by one-tenth of a second (down from 5.1 to 5.0 seconds to 100 km/h). That’s a bit of a letdown, considering that other EVs tend to be better sprinters. For example, the Tesla Model Y Performance needs only 3.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h.
