2024 Nissan Dayz bows in Japan with design refreshments

The Kei car segment is still thriving in Japan, and one of its chief players – the Nissan Dayz – has just received its update heading into model year 2024.

Revised exterior is the first thing that catches the eye. The radiator grille has been completely reworked, and the same  applies to the headlights. Those opting for the Highway Star package additionally get some chrome grille trim, aggressive-looking bumpers and sporty 14-inch wheels.

Nissan uses perforated leather for the cabin upholstery and says the new Dayz lineup offers more storage space thanks to a deeper glove compartment. The cup holder in the middle now has a latch to protect your drink from spilling over.

Powering the 2024 Dayz lineup is the same old 0.66-liter three-cylinder engine. As befits any Kei car, the naturally aspirated version makes 48 PS (47 hp / 31 kW) and the turbo version produces 64 PS (63 hp / 47 kW). Both use a CVT to drive the wheels.

Prices start from ¥1,437,700.
