The current generation of the Nissan Elgrand is already ten years old, and an update seems all but overdue. Instead of this, Nissan chose to go ahead and give the elderly MPV another mild facelift. Fair enough, let’s see what it contains.
The second mid-generational refresh upgrades the base trim level, Highway Star, lending it a new radiator grille design, a chrome bar mounted on the lower front bumper, fresh wheels, a restyled dashboard and a larger multimedia screen.
Those opting for the Nismo package for their 2021 Elgrand will take advantage of a much sportier-looking body kit, 19-inch rims, lowered ride height and a different exhaust system.
The equipment list now mentions a safety system based on cameras and sensors monitoring the situation around the car in real time. The powertrains stay stock, though: you can go for a 2.5-liter version good for 170 hp (127 kW) or a larger 3.5-liter mill rated at 280 hp (209 kW).
