Nissan Frontier gets another special edition

The Nissan Frontier Hardbody Edition reminisces about the company’s D21 Hardbody truck from the 1980s with a similar exterior design. It will go on sale as a 2024 model year vehicle.

Similarities between the two include 17-inch wheels and blacked-out body trim all around – the bumpers, the side mirror covers, the door handles and the wheel arches. The radiator grille has been slightly retouched as well, and a roll bar appeared above the bed.

From the technical perspective, the Hardbody Edition is a four-door Frontier pickup trimmed to the top spec with LED lighting all around, leather upholstery and a sunroof.

The engine is U.S.-standard, which means a 3.8-liter V6 rated at 310 PS (306 hp / 228 kW). A nine-speed automatic transmission carries the momentum to all four wheels through a reduction gear.
