The release of a new part of the cult game from the series of racing cars Gran Turismo Sport - an event that stirred not only Igromir, but also made the car makers move, who want their car to be represented in it.
So, Nissan showed a special modification of its sports car GT-R, which is controlled by a joystick from the game console. As told in the press service of the company, the tests managed to overclock the car to 315 km/h.
To succeed, the designers commissioned the driving of four robots. They were in charge of the steering wheel, gearbox, gas pedals and brakes. And robots, in turn, from the trunk managed six computers, capable of analyzing the environment up to 100 times a second.
At the other end of the chain is a standard DualShock 4 joystick from the PS4. It connects to a microcomputer that interprets signals and transmits them to the on-board control system. To ensure the necessary level of safety, the machine received two sets at once, which operate at different frequencies. The first, in case of loss of control, turns off the engine, and the second starts the braking system and ABS.
