Japanese carmaker Nissan has revealed the first photos of the GT-R Nismo GT500, a racecar built specifically for the Super GT and DTM series. In accordance with the regulations, the vehicle comes equipped with a two-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine capped at 620 hp (462 kW).
Before entering the main competition phase, the Nismo will first flex its muscles at the Super GT x DTM Dream Racе Series starting in two months. When it does enter the championship, the Honda NSX-GT and the new Toyota Supra are going to be its main rivals.
In the spring of 2019, Nissan has unveiled the GT-R Anniversary Edition painted to resemble the marque’s most famous racecars in history (see video). The limited series shipped with a six-cylinder IC engine (573 hp / 427 kW) and a six-speed robotic transmission under the hood.
