Italdesign’d Nissan GT-R50 can be yours for €1M, but be quick to pre-order

When Nissan unveiled its one-off GT-R50 super sports coupe co-developed with Italdesign last year, it had intended it to be a symbolic gift for the GT-R’s 50th birthday and nothing more. After digging its way out from under a pile of purchase requests, the company has changed its mind: the GT-R50 Edition will debut at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show and go into production limited to 50 copies.

Despite being based on the standard Nissan GT-R, the special edition boasts more than just styling tweaks. The two big highlights are its Bilstein suspension and six-cylinder turbo engine boosted to 720 PS (710 hp, 530 kW). Each car will be deeply personalized according to the customers’ wishes.

In fact, the company had originally thought of making the release this year, but eventually postponed the premiere to the Geneva show in March 2020. The shipments will not begin until much later in 2020 and end in late 2021.

Much of the production run has already been pre-booked, and Italdesign is processing the custom requests. There are still a few vehicles remaining – as long as you have a spare €1,000,000 lying around, one could be yours.
