Ashvani Gupta, of the top managers of Nissan Motor Company, said the next generation of the GT-R supercar will be hybridized and should be revealed in 2023.
He added that work was well underway on the next generation, which would be using kinetic energy recuperation in its power system. A similar setup can be found on the current GT-R LM Nismo, which is a track-only racecar.
On an interesting side note, earlier statements from Nissan said the new GT-R would not emerge until 2027, and the model would definitely not be a hybrid.
