Janssen Automotive tunes the hell out of the R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R

Good news for everyone who loves the fifth generation of the Nissan Skyline GT-R (1999 – 2002): German tuner Janssen Automotive will be restoring and modernizing these from the ground up for everyone interested.

The company begins by taking the car apart, down to the last screw, even dismantling the entire powertrain. From here, customers have the choice to either have everything repaired and brought back to top condition using OEM parts, or go for aftermarket upgrade components. The body gains a NISMO ZTune kit, and the cabin benefits from a fresh Alcantara trim with contrast-rich stitching.

It is still the engine that stands to win the most from the upgrade. Janssen offers boost kits going all the way to 790 hp (589 kW), accompanied by such necessities as a roll cage, performance brakes, stiffer suspension and a new exhaust system. No acceleration times are provided, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see the restomod pass the 300 km/h (186 mph) mark with ease.

If you have been thinking that all of the above sounded too good to be true, you have a point – just put in “cheap” instead of “true”. At €229,000 and above, the prices are quite astronomical. Should you want your R34 GT-R remodeled from right-hand drive to LHD, set aside another €40,000. Prepare to part with another €30,000 if you want the abovementioned power upgrade. In the end, the project clearly targets people willing to part with just about any kind of money to help their Godzilla reach perfection.
