The host of YouTube channel B is for Build has announced a new project for this year’s SEMA show: he intends to take this disused Nissan Skyline GT-T (R34) and graft its body onto the chassis of a crashed GT-R (R35).
Apparently, the Skyline shown here has changed hands many times throughout its life and was treated pretty badly. The previous owner went as far as to attempt to switch it to a left-hand drive system, ending up with a destroyed dashboard in the process.
As for the GT-R organ donor, this one was salvaged after a crash with the principal drivetrain components still serviceable. The tuner sounds optimistic about the build, claiming that the chassis is nearly the same size as the Skyline body. To our knowledge, however, it should be at least five inches (12.5 cm) longer, not to mentioned wider and with different mounting points.
In other words, while the challenge sure does look interesting, we are intrigued to see how B is for Build succeeds in its mission. Best of luck to the talented and ambitious!
