Drag Race: One 1,600-HP sports car versus another

A recent video by Officially Gassed sees two titans clash in a battle for supremacy: a Porsche 911 Turbo S dialed up to a four-digit horsepower rating goes up against a latest-gen Nissan GT-R with similar specs. Which one would you bet on?

On paper, the rivals look very much alike. The Porsche has been tuned by ES Motor to churn out 1,600 metric hp (1,578 hp / 1,177 kW) along with 1,350 Nm (996 lb-ft) of torque while weighing only 1,600 kilograms (3,527 pounds).

In turn, the R35 GT-R rocks a Stroker engine with Garrett turbos, Albins Monster transmission components, and a plethora of other mods. It produces 1,570 PS (1,548 hp / 1,155 kW), but makes up for it by having insane 1,700 Nm (1,254 lb-ft) of torque. Both run on street tires and high-octane fuel.

Watch the epic showdown and congratulate the winner!
