GT-R Nismo GT3 racecar series to get air conditioning in 2019

As you have probably heard, Nissan has a racetrack-only model named the GT-R Nismo GT3. The vehicle costs U.S. $550,000 but comes without any kind of climate control. Apparently, the manufacturer has decided to remedy the situation and design a special air cooling system for racing drivers.

The conditioner in the GT-R Nismo GT3 will aim to keep the driver’s seat and helm nice and cool, helping to overcome the extreme heat and stress they are subjected to during the race.

Apart from the climate control, the upcoming model update also includes new engine supports that are located 15 centimeters (6 in) higher above the ground than in the previous version. This should improve the stability and the steering ease of the car, something the manufacturer claims has been tested tested and proven during 30,000 km (18,500+ mi) worth of road tests.

The engine compartment of the vehicle holds a 3.8-liter V6 engine rated at 550 hp (410 kW), coupled with a sequential transmission. Deceleration is made more efficient through the use of heavy-duty six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear ones.

The new GT-R Nismo GT3 will go on sale in early 2019 still priced around 550,000 USD.
