Nissan GT-R spins off two special editions for Japan

Nissan has arrived at the Tokyo Auto Salon-2023 with two revised takes on the GT-R that will go on sale in Japan this spring and not be available outside the country. Prices remain unannounced.

The standard GT-R model also gets a brush-up with a new radiator grille, improved drag performance and some technical tweaks for a more comfortable ride. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 continues churning out 562 PS (554 hp / 413 kW).

One way to upgrade from the mainstream edition is called Nismo Special. It packs a superior 591 PS (583 hp / 435 kW), benefits from suspension tweaks, wears some additional aerodynamic parts and features a mechanical LSD on the front axle. The hood is made from carbon fiber, and the interior offers new Recaro seats.

The other special is dubbed Premium T-Spec and comes with carbon-fiber brakes and a suspension tune advertised as ‘the golden middle’ between performance and comfort.
