Rare Nissan Skyline GT-R has been bid to $240k and counting

An R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R from a batch of 11 such vehicles custom-built by Tommy Kaira in Japan is up for grabs in Australia right now with the bidding at 380,000 AUD (around 240,000 USD) and some time left on the clock.

The coupe was made in 2001 and has since traveled 46,073 kilometers (28,628 miles). It was a factory V-Spec II before undergoing the rebuild and taking on the moniker ‘R-Z’. It wound up with a 2.7-liter inline-six engine rated at 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW), a massive boost from the original’s 280 PS (276 hp / 206 kW). It also received an extensive are kit including bumpers, a splitter, a diffuser and a rear wing.

The interior has been overhauled as well with Recaro sport seats in the front row, tuner’s logos all around, and matte-aluminum décor.

The owner continued tuning the R-Z later on, replacing its carbon hood with a GFRP one and installing 19-inch, bronze-colored Rays TE37 wheels with Nitto tires. The ‘KINGTR’ license plate seen here is not included in the sale.
