Artisan Vehicle Design, a car customization shop based in London, UK, has come up with a fresh look for the Nissan GT-R. The styling package brings the modern sports car closer to its iconic predecessor – the R34-generation Skyline GT-R – and will go on sale next year. Only 36 body kits will be made, and all prices are pending.
Artisan claims it had to design an all-new carbon-fiber body from scratch. A glance at the photos also reveals R34-inspired lights all around, a different front bumper with rectangular air intakes and a splitter, new fenders and hood cover, assorted aerodynamic trims and originally styled C-pillars.
Also in the kit is an impressively large rear wing and a set of Rays TE37 wheels. Some of these may be optional, however, since there will apparently be two versions of the package to choose from – Track and Ultimate. The specifics haven’t been revealed yet. Artisan says the body kit improves the structural rigidity of the sports car while reducing its weight.
The interior gets its own share of upgrades, such as carbon-fiber seats, a new steering wheel and a different transmission selector. The center console gets a bigger display, and the while passenger space gets re-trimmed with fine leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber.
