Judging by these spy photos allegedly made somewhere in Southern Europe, Japanese car manufacturer Nissan has begun testing the next generation of its Juke mini-SUV. Some sources claim the car might premiere as early as the 2019 Frankfurt International Motor Show in September.
It looks like the new Nissan Juke will mostly stay true to the design of its predecessor. According to an earlier statement by Nissan Senior VP for Global Design Alfonso Albaisa, it will also retain its original size and proportions.
Differences boil down to narrower headlights, ‘hidden’ door handles, and certain design features borrowed from the Leaf EV.
The next Juke comes based on the CMF-B platform developed by Renault-Nissan. Rumors claim the car will be available with a 1.0-liter gasoline engine, a 1.6-liter turbo rated at 190 hp (142 kW), and a 1.5-liter diesel.
