The Japanese company Nissan decided to abandon the use of diesel powertrains in the second generation of the Juke crossover.
The motor range will be presented by petrol turbo engines. Perhaps that Nissan will equip its new crossover with hybrid power plants.
The new generation of the popular crossover, increased in dimensions, will have more brutal design refer to Nissan GripZ and Nissan Vmotion 2.0 concept cars. The body will become not only wider, but also will slightly fall. The body will not only wider, but slightly lowered. The debut of the updated Nissan Juke will be held in 2020.
Most likely, the company's decision to refusal of the engines using diesel fuel, is connected with toughening of the requirements for emissions of hazardous substancesdue from year to year. The new rules, which will come into force since 2019 in Europe, will demand from automakers still high costs for systems of purification of exhaust gases.
Do not lose from the sight the "diesel scandal" fundamentally tainted the reputation of Volkswagen. Anyway, another Japanese automaker Toyota along with Nissan plans gradually to refuse from diesels.
