The Nissan factory in Sunderland, UK, has begun producing the Juke Hybrid and Qashqai e-Power, two SUVs with different internals made on the same assembly line.
According to the carmaker, implementing a production line for traction batteries that would fit both models cost it £10,000,000. The entire factory upgrade to produce the next-generation cars summed up to a cool £500,000,000.
Not long ago, the Sunderland factory celebrated a major milestone after making its 5,000,000th Nissan SUV.
