The original Nissan Kicks hit the showrooms four years ago and started getting mid-generational updates last year. Japan was the first market to get the facelift last summer, and soon, it will also get a luxury trim named Autech.
The Kicks Autech will start shipping in early March priced from 3,114,100 JPY (roughly $30,000 USD). Compared side-by-side to the production car, the special edition boasts redesigned anti-fog lights, radiator grille, bumper details and sill extensions, and aluminum mirror housings and badges. Those willing to pay extra will get black wheels and bi-color body options.
Inside, the seats come wrapped in eco-friendly imitation leather, and there is an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen. The old 1.2-liter three-cylinder gas engine stays unchanged under the hood, pumping out 79 horsepower and 103 Newton-meters to generate electric power for the on-board 1.5-kWh battery. All propulsion occurs thanks to an electric motor rated at 129 PS (127 hp / 95 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque.
