Nissan has decided to keep the nine-year-old Kicks crossover around even after announcing the second generation. It will remain available for ordering under the name “Kicks Play”.
This “Play” version will only be sold in Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Buyers will have to settle for a very basic specification with a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine, 113 PS (111 hp / 83 kW), a CVT and front-wheel drive. All other modifications have been discontinued.
For the next several years, Nissan plans to sell the old Kicks Play and the new second-gen Kicks side by side in these three countries.
