Marek Kamiński, a worldwide-known traveler and explorer who had been to the South and the North Pole, has successfully completed his 16,000-kilometer (10,000-mile) long ride from Poland to Japan on an all-electric Nissan Leaf.
He started his journey in the Polish town of Zakopane, setting off for Tokyo. The 60-day long route involved visiting two continents and eight countries, including South Korea, China, Mongolia, Russia, Belarus and Lithuania.
In doing so, Kamiński strived to provide proof that electric cars are suitable even for long journeys. He said that getting his batteries filled even in the most isolated corners of the world was a matter of bringing along several types of chargers and adapters for various kinds of power networks.
