2020 Nissan Navara pickup debuts with souped-up engine, new multimedia

Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan has introduced the 2020 Nissan Navara pickup truck in Europe. What’s new and hot?

In its standard from, the truck still ships with a 2.3-liter diesel engine. However, its output now amounts to 163 hp (122 kW) and 425 Nm (313 lb×ft) of torque courtesy of an added second turbocharger. The other engine remains unchanged with 190 hp (142 kW) at its disposal.

Formerly, only the more expensive Navarra trims shipped with multi-link rear suspension. Now, this feature is standard in all versions. There are a couple beneficial side effects to this, such as extra ground clearance (+25 mm/+1”) and extra carrying capacity (+46 kg/+101 lbs).

Other notable changes include new 17- and 18-inch wheel sets and a new multimedia system coming with an eight-inch display and remote car control features.

The exterior of the facelifted series stays virtually unaltered, unless you count the new lining material inside the LED headlights (now black).
