Nissan Navara SL Warrior debuts in Australia

The SL Warrior is a special version of the Nissan Navara pickup adapted to the Australian outback with numerous aftermarket parts. Prices start from 58,000 AUD for the six-speed manual version and from 60,500 AUD for automatic.

Co-designed with tuning firm Premcar, it is a Navara SL 4WD Crew Cab spec equipped with a 2.3-liter turbo diesel engine capable of 190 PS (187 hp / 140 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.

On the outside, the Warrior boasts a robust metallic front bumper with integrated LED lighting, underbody protection, a recess for a winch, and rugged body kit parts. It rides on a set of Cooper Discoverer All Terrain AT3 tires.

The suspension also features a number of modifications, such as heavy-duty springs and shock absorbers, as well as other components designed to reduce rolling, improve overlanding performance and allow for steeper approach and departure angles. 40 millimeters of added clearance (for a total of 260 mm / 10.16 inches) enhance these qualities even further. In the cabin, though, everything stays stock except for new all-season mats.

The Navara SL Warrior will go on sale in August.
