Nissan Note gains 4WD, Autech variants

The third-gen Nissan Note, which you can see in the launch film here, will soon become available in four-wheel-drive and luxury versions.

The Note 4WD packs dual electric motors rated at 116 PS (114 hp / 85 kW) at the front and 68 PS (67 hp / 50 kW) at the rear. Respective maximum torque is 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) ans 100 Nm (74 lb-ft). Just like the Leaf and Ariya, the SUV has a torque vectoring system that also provides regenerative brake capacity. The S FOUR trim starts from 2,288,000 Japanese Yen, and the upper X FOUR trim will set you back 2,445,300 JPY. Throw in a swiveling passenger seat for improved comfort getting in and out of the car, and you are looking at spending 2,544,300 JPY.

The Autech comes based on the abovementioned X spec and is available in FWD (2,504,700 JPY) and 4WD (2,763,200) variants. Compared to the production model, the luxed-up hatchback boasts a new front grille pattern, blue LEDs in the front bumper, special wheels and a body kit. Its cabin is finished in black and blue and makes use of imitation leather. Grey rosewood adorns the front panel, and wave ornaments can be found on the seats; it is unknown whether the rosewood inserts are genuine or imitated. Customers can choose from eight available body paint schemes, including three unique ones.

Powering the new Note is an e-Power system that comprises a 1.2-liter non-turbo engine with 82 PS (81 hp / 60 kW) and 103 Nm (76 lb-ft) and a couple of electric motors. The gasoline engine only acts as a power generator for the system, while the car goes all-electric.
