Nissan has posted a teaser video announcing the reveal of an unknown vehicle tuned by its in-house customization shop, Nismo. The vaguely outlined front fascia makes us believe it’s a Note Aura Hybrid (see the photos and compare).
The Aura hatchback is marketed as a standalone model standing upmarket from the regular Note. It sports a revamped appearance and cabin trim along with a boosted engine. As a range extender, it uses a petrol engine to drive its electric motor rated at 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW). There is also an AWD modification that adds another 68-PS (67-hp / 50-kW) electric motor to the rear axle.
Other details remain unknown. Nismo has been largely dealing with Nissan GT-R projects lately, but it had also tackled the Juke, the Patrol and the Leaf EV before, so a Note Aura Nismo does not seem that unlikely.
