Nissan is facing the need to recall 1,380,000 cars across multiple continents due to numerous recently discovered issues, Bloomberg reports.
The source claims that the recall campaign will concern such models as Note, Kicks, Serena and Leaf EV sold in Asia, Europe and the United States. The full list of defects remains to be disclosed, but we are told that one of them may cause the car to accelerate on its own with cruise control turned off. Another major issue can cause the engine to short out and stop. There are also reports of headlights going out unexpectedly.
All information regarding the number of vehicles affected, their models and manufacturing dates will be published later. Nothing has been revealed yet regarding any incidents potentially linked to these issues, either.
