The quaint and tiny Nissan Pao hatchback came out on the verge of the 1980s and 90s and was mostly sold domestically, but this example made it to the States and received a stylistic makeover. It is on auction right now.
Unlike its peers that came in four tender pastel colors to choose from, this microcar sports a thoroughly blacked-out body with a bold aero kit. It rocks a deleted front bumper, flared fenders, new 13-inch rollers on spacers, and a lowering kit, making it look way more aggressive than any Pao ever did. It manages to pull off the look while still coming across as a cute and charming urban supermini, somehow.
Things stay largely unchanged under the hood, where a one-liter four-por toils for 51 PS (50 hp / 37 kW) and 54 Nm (40 lb-ft) of torque. The odometer shows over 137,000 km (85,000 miles) of use.
The bidding on Cars & Bids has reached $6,500 USD with several hours remaining on the clock.
