The updated body-on-frame SUV Nissan Patrol (known as the Armada in the United States) has been unveiled at a special event in Abu Dhabi, UAE, sporting revised interior and cabin alongside some new equipment.
On the outside, the 2020 Patrol update brings more aggressively styled bumpers, a revised radiator grille, C-shaped headlights with boomerang-like DRLs, smaller anti-fog lights, new taillights, and dynamic turn blinkers.
Cabin improvements include the steering wheel, the seats, higher-quality trimming materials, and a revamped dashboard. The center console now had two displays, the upper one acting as a multimedia screen and navigator and the lower one providing access to the rest of in-car functions. Electronic driver aids list now also includes pedestrian-aware emergency braking.
The engine palette remains unchanged. In the Middle East, the 2020 Nissan Patrol will continue to ship with a choice between a six-cylinder (275 hp / 205 kW) and an eight-cylinder (400 hp / 300 kW) gas engine. It remains unclear which markets will get the Nismo performance version with its 428 hp (319 kW).
Sales in the Middle East begin later this month, with the USA and Australia next in line.
