The Middle East branch of Nissan has launched a website dedicated to the upcoming premiere of a new SUV. Its name isn’t explicitly mentioned, but the outlines are unmistakably those of the Nissan Patrol.
There’s still a month until the full reveal, so let’s take a look at what we have in the meantime. It’s a sparse-looking radiator mesh with horizontal bars in the upper half. That’s all for now, but Nissan promises to keep posting every Thursday.
Like the Infiniti QX80 that debuted in March (see video), the Nissan Patrol will retain its body-on-frame design in the next generation while getting a completely new interior with an emphasis on modern technology not seen in this lineup before. The same goes for the Patrol’s North American cousin, the Armada. As for the engine, we expect it to be a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6. The QX80 uses one getting 456 PS (450 hp / 335 kW) and 698 Nm (515 lb-ft) of torque.
