Nissan has revealed an extreme off-road vehicle it calls Mountain Patrol (Armada) at the ongoing Overland Expo WEST show in the USA. The one-of-a-kind vehicle was built on the Nissan Patrol platform and incorporated some of the features Nissan fans asked the manufacturer for on its pages in social networks.
The massive off-roader looks really impressive with its stainless-steel bumpers, high-profile tires and massive kick plates. It sports a grille guard with a winch, a roof rack, Magnaflow stainless-steel exhaust system and taller suspension. Only one copy of the vehicle exists, and the manufacturer won’t be making a series release.
The passenger space of the magnificent Mountain Patrol houses a radio station, advanced navigation software by Lowrance, a fridge with a freezer, and lots of handy storage pockets and compartments. There is a screw jack, a few fuel canisters and a pair of sand traction-recovery tracks in the trunk compartment.
The extreme vehicle is driven by a 5.6-liter V8 engine capable of just under 400 hp (300 kW), partnered with an automatic transmission.
Nissan had earlier revealed another version of its conceptual Armada SUV. That time around, the car came equipped with taller suspension, an extra-large roof rack for hiking equipment, heavy-duty bumpers and giant wheels.
