When the third-gen Nissan Qashqai showed up on spy pics this summer, the V-shaped radiator grille was pretty much its only distinguishing feature. Today, the company supplied a few additional details.
For one, the next-gen Qashqai will sport a body made almost entirely of aluminum, which will make it around 30 kilograms lighter.
For another, it will ditch its diesel engine and ship with a mild-hybrid powertrain instead, based on a 1.3-liter gas turbo. There will also be an e-Power version with a small gasoline engine needed solely for charging the batteries to be used by the main electric motor.
