The second generation of the Nissan Qashqai crossover may be gone from most markets, but it is still around in China and is about to receive some cosmetic procedures.
The local name of the car is “Qashqai Classic”, but the test vehicle spotted on the roads earlier this week wore a badge saying “Qashqai Glory”. It’s still unclear whether it’s just a new name or possibly a new trim. In any case, it looks like the car retains its 2.0-liter engine sending 140 PS (138 hp / 103 kW) to the front wheels via a CVT.
The production will take place at the same Nissan-Dongfeng factory where the third generation is being made. For a while, the second and the third Qashqai generations will be offered side-by-side in China.
